Object reference not set to an instance of an object - Error

description

DNN Version 07.03.02 (109) using Events Module Version 6.2.0. Any thoughts?

When I click settings after module is added to a page I get "Critical error has occurred, please check event viewer for details"

URL changes to " /Default.aspx?tabid=89&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object. "

Message in Event viewer:

Is this the first time that it happens and did it work correctly before?
What have you changed?
Is there a special skin for the page?

Can you do the following on a test copy of your site:
Can you upgrade both DNN and Events to see if that solves your case?
Can you use the debug dll's to get details on the position that the error starts?

Same issue here with 7.3.4

Brand new install. Add module to page then try to configure. Boom.

Same issue here. At first I thought it was due to adding the module to a Social Group page.. but maybe it is a more widespread issue?

Can you use the debug DLL's so we get a reference to the exact point at which it goes wrong?

I followed your steps since I found this same error, and after replacing the dll with the debug dll, it started to work (was able to access the module settings). So I cannot share with you any detailed log error. I'm installing DNNEvents on a clean install of Evoq Content Basic Version: 08.01.00 (795)
